Four years ago, I gave an informative speech to my club, entitled "Do You need the Wikipedia?" It was successful.
During the Q&A, a distinguished forestry professor and friend challenged me -- "Why should I believe the Wiki? What if you began promoting yourself on the Wiki as an expert?" I replied-- "I will promote you, if you will promote me!"
Nowadays club members do consult the Wiki to prepare for speeches.
Given this background, read the latest from our club discussion.

Hey Ted,
That's a classic reply, Winston Churchill couldn't have done better. Wikipedia is actually very good at controlling its content. They have moderators review material, and before it's reviewed they mark it as not yet reviewed. The moderators also make suggestions to posters, such as please add references to document your material. I've found Wikipedia to be highly reliable wrt science, sports and music.
