Hey Ted,
That's very good about the elderly woman, outstanding. Her double bet reminds me of a professional con technique I've seen on Cheers.
Anyway, Happy New Year and Happy Birthday !!! I'm reminded of a birthday email card you once sent me. It said: "Everything you do is for the good." So, good on you, Ted !
For more than a month I've had an email reply in mind to an email you forwarded me from Felsha. I guess I'll write it now. It has to do with her being in a foreign place, learning a foreign language, etc. I have several official and unofficial nieces who all remind me of each other, and Felsha is growing into this group also. They are all very confident and social, with an abundance of positive energy. They do a lot of travelling at an early age, not tourist travel but "working and living with people" travel such as volunteer work and courses. They all became at least tri-lingual at an early age, and are achieving a lot of professional success - lots of ambition and direction. It's interesting that I can name 5 nieces like this but not a single nephew. I have nephews who are doctors, engineers, furniture designers, etc. all pursuing outstanding careers. But their level and scope of accomplishment and ambition is not in the same league as these nieces. In short, I think that 20 years from now, the majority of CEOs and political leaders in North America and Euroe will be women.
Speaking of women, I have a first date on Sunday with a woman who appears to be Polynesain - has only been in the US for a few years. She's youngish (35) with a strong personality. Met her thru match.com, I'll tell you how it goes.
I have some new posts and comments planned for our blog, you'll see them soon.
Have a great 2008 !
- Mike
