Rowdy music, ecstatic music

On Friday evening, home alone, I unwound a work week with music, wine, olives and cheese --

  1. 1967: At the home of Dr Stotts, while his parents were away, youth smoked DMT and sought music-- "I might get burned up by the Sun! But I've had my fun!"
  2. After that opener I wanted to hear Ten Years After again!
  3. Forty years after the 1969 Woodstock Rockfest, Oregon still has the Oregon Country Fair.
  4. In 1980, Ted and Otila eloped to Oahu. Radios were playing While You See A Chance and Otila liked it right away.
  5. In 1974, this Peace Corps teacher brought a Soul Sacrifice to an teachers faikava in the Friendly Islands.  Actually Santana's electricity didn't match the rest of the evening's mellow Tongan love songs.
  6. Speaking of sacrifices, I've always liked Cast Your Fate to the Wind
  7. End of the Line put a cap on my Chardonay.
